Young Roosters Jacob Robinson and Mitchell Clem showed both showed their class in a polished and strong performance for the Toowoomba Valleys RLFC Under 19’s 2023 President’s Cup Champions. Jacob was given the honour of Player of the Match and rightly deserved the honour. The Young Roosters came from behind in the first half to lead 16 – 12 at halftime. Mitchell Clem ably assisted by Thomas Fenwick led the charge to get Valleys to the halftime lead. After the break, the Roosters half Robinson scored a length of the field try to get Valleys to 22 – 12. Opponents the Dalby Diehards tried hard to get back into the lead but couldn’t in the end and went down 26 – 22.
The Young 2023 Roosters are a very good unit of determined young men and are well supported by their coaching staff and crew. Congratulations on a perfect start and middle to the season an we all look forward to sharing their success now moving forward into the business end of their 2023 campaign.
