Round 7 saw the City Mechanical & Auto Electrical, Saxon Energy Services and Kev’s Welding Works Valleys Reserve Grade boys play what was our best game of the year and run out convincing winners over Wattles 36 – 22.With injuries last week in key positions and skipper Jake Capewell out due to work commitments saw us having to use yet another halves combination with Jay and Cooky steering the ship,as well as some new additions to the forward pack.In their first games of the year, our new halves combination were outstanding with Cooky setting up a number of tries and Jay scoring a double. Other standouts were Chris Ava also scoring a double in another strong game, and the possibly the TRL’s oldest player Stinger turning back the clock by playing almost a full game and picking up a double himself. All in all,it was a pleasing performance and goes to show that the hard work we are putting in is starting to pay off. Well done lads. Cheers Fordy
