In cold and windy conditions our City Mechanical & Auto Electrical, Saxon Energy Services and Kev’s Welding Works Valleys Reserve Grade boys came up against the high-flying Highfields Eagles who are sitting a few spots higher than us on the ladder. The boys from the get go didn’t want a repeat performance from a fortnight earlier and rolled up their sleeves and played our best game to date. The Eagles kept coming at us however,but every thing they threw at us – we had an answer for which was a pleasing sign. It came down to the last minute,but we came out victorious winning 30 – 28. Special mention this week has to go to Big Rhi the try scoring freak,crossing the stripe for a hat-trick of tries and running like he had bees on him, no-one wanted to tackle him, and for his efforts picked up man of the match honours.. He was supported however by a strong team effort,and everyone had a crack today, so well done lads, great turn around. Cheers Fordy
