Under 18
The Steggles Chickens, Construction Siteworks and Thiess Construction Valleys U-18’s took on Wattles on Saturday. The boys turned up the heat in this game. It was our last home game of the year and we were keen to pick up from where we left off against Souths. With the rain earlier that day, we had changed our game plan to suit and we knew up front it was going to be a physical battle. It wasn’t always pretty but we defended as a team and from that our attack came naturally. Our big boys lead the way and at half time it was 28-6. We wanted to be better in the 2nd half and we were. We again defended them out of the game and scored plenty off the back of that. By the end of the game it was 66-12. Both Josh Robinson and Josh Hancock were very good but it was the pest himself that lead the way. David Murphy was big, strong and too hard to handle. Just too good for them. What has been most pleasing to see in his game of late is the leadership role he takes on in our pack. Every week is a knock out from here on in for us. Lets hope we can turn up with the right attitude over the next few weeks
