The Clive Berghofer Land Sales, Fabtech Liners & Covers and Federal Hotel Valleys A Grade showed great courage against adversity. At one stage being reduced to 11 players and still only conceding 1 try in a 18-4 victory that kept us in the top 5. The win under the circumstances was huge for our confidence, especially as it came against the top side and with the top of the table so tight a performance like that was exactly what we needed in the race towards a finals spot. Our defence was by far the best it has been this year and what we have been striving for since day 1. Repeating that sort of effort becomes the challenge now, especially after proving to ourselves finally what we’re capable of in defence when we apply ourselves. Andrew Farrell, Vaea La’akulu and Inoke Rokotolu were the standouts in the match but it truly was an overall team performance that got us home and give us some momentum going into another crucial game when we host Wattles next Saturday night.
