The Valleys Steggles Chickens, Construction Siteworks and Thiess Construction Valleys U-18’s made the drive to Warwick on Sunday to take on the Cowboys. It’s always a tough place to play and we knew we had to turn up with the right attitude. With the best forward pack a coach could ask for, we started well, completing set after set and making in roads through the line. Our defence was under pressure quite a few times and we muscled up when we had to. At half time we went in up 10 – 4 in a pretty good quality tussle. The second half went much the same way and the boys stuck to the game plan. The quality of the Sargent twins shone through and the rest of the team gained so much confidence from them. We defended hard and the effort was there all game. Then end score was 28 – 8. To run over a big side at their home ground was a massive confidence booster for us leading into the next few games. This keeps our season alive and I hope to see plenty of energy at training this week.
