Steggles Chickens, Construction Siteworks and Thiess Construction Valleys U-18’s v Oakey at Herb Steinohrt Oval, 6th July
We hosted Oakey on Saturday night. Needing a win we started well. Unfortunately, it didn’t last as long as I had hoped. A few freak tries setup from Ryan Duncan made things difficult for the boys to keep their heads up. Our attack was good but our defence was soft at times.
At half time Oakey were hot on our heels as we only lead by 2.. It went right down to the wire with the scores tied. Oakey had a chance to win the game after receiving a penalty luckily they didn’t convert it, but we were unable to go the length of the field in one play. This week we finally get some injured players back and have really got to play well if we want any sort of shot at playing finals footy.
