Steggles Chickens, Construction Siteworks and Thiess Construction Valleys U-18’s v Oakey at Oakey, 14th April, 2013

The Steggles Chickens, Construction Siteworks and Thiess Construction Valleys U-18’s travelled to Oakey on Sunday. We had several players pull out the morning of and from there the day got worse. We were out of sorts early and after the fist 15 min we were dominated by a bigger quicker outfit across the park. The attitude was poor and heads were down. At half time it was 28-6. Unfortunately the 2nd half brought much the same and the bears scored straight after the break. It continued on until the bell went with the score 44 – 14.  2 people that really put their hand up was the ever reliable Josh Glass  and winger Marty Higgins. Both were head and shoulders above their team mates. We will bounce back. This week we have some representative players coming back into the squad. They understand the pride that we have in our team and will be doing the best to get our attitude back to the level it needs to be at our club.
