The Steggles Chickens, Construction
Siteworks and Thiess Construction Valleys U-18’s took on Souths on
Sunday. It was a good tough battle and one of the biggest improvements was the
enthusiasm bought to the table. It didn’t end in our favor on the score board
but we have taken plenty of steps forward over the last 2 – 3 weeks and it’s up
to our senior boys to keep the attitude exceptional this week at training. The
first half was good footy with both sides going try for try and at half time the
score was 12 all. The 2nd half was much the same and was the first time in a
while that we played for the whole 70 min. However we let ourselves down with
10mins to go. The pressure was on and some of the senior players let
frustrations out towards the ref and one was sin binned accordingly and another
a few minutes later. This left us chasing a 6 point deficit with 11 players on
the field. The boys tried hard and threw the ball around with confidence but
the clock beat us and we fell short. Hnaloan Budden and Josh Glass were
exceptional and a few other not far behind. With some more hard work this week
