Rnd 6 Reserve Grade Write up Valleys V Souths 21/4/2013

Round 6 saw the City Mechanical & Auto Electrical, Saxon Energy Services and Kev’s Welding Works Valleys Reserve Grade blokes come up against a strong Souths side. For the first time this season we fielded our strongest side and signs were good. A few early injuries and poor ball control how ever seen us defending much of the 1st half and the half time score reflected that. In the 2nd half we played a lot better and started to complete our sets which was pleasing and looked a different side, but Souths were too strong in the end winning. As always, skipper Jake Capewell led from the front and played the house down and picked up man of the match honours for his efforts. A big shout out must also go to the world’s biggest human Terry Bermingham who played his best game to date and crossed the white line for a try and is off the nudie run which we are all pleased about. I look forward to Wattles next week, and if we can keep our side together we should have a good showing against one of the top sides. Cheers Fordy
