The Clive Berghofer Land Sales, Fabtech Liners & Covers and Federal Hotel Valleys A Grade capped a week in which we had to face 3 sudden death games in 6 days with an amazing 48-6 victory over Pittsworth in the elimination semi final. Enough can not be said about the attitude and committment of our players over the last couple of months and the fact that we could get through the huge ask of multiple games within a week speaks volumes of how much our A Grade group want to keep going around in this finals series. The players jumped out of the blocks remarkably well with some great footy and run away tries from deep in our own half. Gus Mackellar was instrumental in setting up some great attack and the running games of Josh Waters, Huey Sedger and Jay Melrose profited in an opening 20 minutes that set up the win. Our forwards all need enormous credit for the workload of the last 2 weeks where they have all played huge minutes and still been able to lay the platform time and time again for our outside backs. Matt Budden played his best game of the season in the middle of the park and Ben Jarvis, beaten around from the previous 2 games was outstanding in an 80 minute performance. We now are set up for another sudden death game against a very good Wattles side and we are relishing the challenge after earning the right to still be playing the hard way.
