Recently one of the Valleys A Grade players Vaea La’akulu gave his time participating in the “Fight for Cash” Boxing charity night held at Rumours International. In the photo above Valleys President Bob Pearce and player Vaea La’akulu present a cheque to the value of $550.00 to recipient Matthew Budden, who’s son Hnaloan plays in the Valleys Under 18 side. Matthew was recently diagnosed with Acute Promalitic Leukaemia and underwent treatment for this form of Cancer. Matthew and his family were forced to endure a period of difficult times as he was unable to work and had to relocate to Brisbane for several months of intensive treatment. Matthew still requires treatment, but is now in remission and working up to about twenty hours a week. Well done Matthew and a special thank you to Vaea.
