VALLEYS A GRADE – Playing Pittsworth on a Saturday night at Pittsworth is always a tough ask and we were under no illusions this would be the case for us again. As a group we are still working out our combinations and getting use to playing with each other and credit to Pittsworth this forced us into too many errors which you can’t afford against quality opposition. The final score 24-18 to Pittsworth. Sometimes in a loss you can get more out of it than a win and i’m sure we learnt a lot about ourselves. Right through the club i was proud of the efforts of everyone with 6 guys in hospital and a number of others injured, our spirit never diminished. Next up we have defending champions Wattles another great test for us. In continuing to remember our past after Graham Parmenter and Max Higgins it’s an honour to have John McDonald to present the 1st grade jumpers for this weekend’s home game against Wattles.
Justin.

VALLEYS RESERVE GRADE – Against an always competitive club like Pittsworth you need to be ready and turn up to play. On Saturday we didn’t do that and suffered as a consequence. Our ball control was poor and our mistakes were too many in a physical encounter. If we had held the ball and completed our sets out of our own end I am sure the result would have been much different. No excuses however, Pittsworth were better than us on the day beating us 17-4. Best on ground this week were Dan Ford and Nathan Duncan. Next game is Wattles at home and we all have a point to prove.
JB.

VALLEYS UNDER 18 GRADE – Not the result we wanted today going down 26-22 after leading for most of the game. But as a coach I couldn’t be prouder of the effort the 14 players put in today. Every single player stood up and played the house down. I would like to wish Trent Nicholls a speedy recovery from his injury – he had a blinder up until then. Nick Ryals was our players’ player and man of the match after another whole hearted performance. I look forward to next week and getting some players back on deck as we take on Wattles – great job again boys.
Matt.

VALLEYS C GRADE – A great result for our C grade boys against the 2014 premiers Pittsworth. Again we played well and came up with a well deserved victory, winning 28 – 22. We even had 6 extra players on the bench this week which we needed as we had four boys head off to Hospital in the same ambulance late in the game. Everyone played well but our best on ground was Craig Mitchell, Next week we take on competition frontrunners Millmerrin at home and we will be hoping for an injury free game as our numbers will be tested Well done boys. Special thanks again to Oliver Scott and Blake Edwards for running water and their guiding influence.
